Debossing and Foil Stamping Options for Personalized Leather Gifts
When ordering personalized leather gifts for family, friends, bridesmaids, groomsmen, or anyone on your wedding gift list, you may choose from one of two personalization methods including debossing or foiling stamping. Each imprint method is described below.
Simply choose the personalization method you prefer in the Personalization Method dropdown menu on your leather gift order page.
Debossing (Blind Stamping)
Debossing, also called blind stamping, is a process where initials or names are permanently impressed onto leather using a heated, high-pressure stamp. This process leaves a permant stamp or 'brand' of initials or lettering on leather while maintaining the natural leather color.
Note: You do not need to choose a foil stamp color when selecting the 'Deboss' personalization method on your order page. The debossing process requires no colored foils.
Foil Stamping is a process where initials or names are permanently stamped, or 'impressed', onto leather using a colored foil. The heated, high-pressure stamp impresses the leather and adheres the colored foil, creating a colorful contrast between the leather's natural color and the initials or name.
Note: Please be sure to select a foil stamp color if choosing the foil stamping personalization method. If you do not choose a foil color, your item will be 'blind embossed'.
