So you've decided on a fall wedding and who could blame you! Fall weddings are gorgeous and relatively simple to put together. All you have to do is pull from what Mother Nature has already given you. The only question is...how do you fine-tune all those ideas? In this month's newsletter, we have broken down some of the most popular ideas for fall wedding favors. Happy planning!
By far one of the more popular favor ideas for any season are edible favors. What makes this idea so great for fall weddings, however, are the choices available to you. For fall choose from leaf-shaped cookies (tie in a favor bag and set next to leaf-shaped cookie cutters), home-made cider, maple syrup, popcorn balls, pumpkin bread, chocolate truffles, and candy apples. Mix in some custom flair by personalized a favor box to hold your sweet treat. Brand new this year are personalized candy apple boxes (shown above). Edible favors are always a failsafe favorite among guests.
Going for a certain theme? Perhaps you would like to keep a leaf motif or rustic decor? There are a number of favors that will capture the theme you are looking for. Fill leaf-shaped candy dishes with treats and set at each place-setting for guests to take home. For a rustic look, set out cinnamon stick votive holders that give your tables a home-made fell without all the work. Other ideas include leaf-shaped soaps (great for OOT hotel gift bags), or wine cork place card holders. Set out leaf-shaped bottle openers (shown above) next to bottles of apple cider to add a personal touch to your fall wedding favors
while still capturing the theme you're after.
If you're having a smaller number of guests or are feeling creative, try making your guest favors. DIY favors will add a home-made feel to your wedding day and are a great way to add any special characteristics special to your an your fiancé. For example, is there something special about how you met? Favorite hobbies? Is there a favorite recipe near and dear to your hearts?
