Shamrock Hair Fascinator
Shamrock Hair Fascinator

What you will need:
Cotton fabric (3 assorted styles)
Hair barrette or hair comb
Button
Hot glue or craft glue
Sharp scissors
Waxed Paper
Spray starch
Iron
Pencil

Step 1: Download and print shamrock templates. I prefer to print on cardstock for ease in tracing. Cut out shamrocks along solid lines. Set aside.

Step 2: Cut out 3 large squares from each of your fabric to make up each layer of the fascinator. Lay fabric across wax paper and spray thoroughly with spray starch. Let dry and iron fabric to flatten it.

Step 3: For BOTTOM layer: Trace 3 shamrocks on wrong side of desired fabric with pencil. Cut each shamrock along solid line. Crease each leaf in half with iron lengthwise. Repeat for middle and top shamrock layers.

Step 4: Apply glue to center of barrette. Apply first (bottom) bottom fabric shamrock and let dry. Repeat with remaining shamrock layers turning each shamrock in clockwise direction before applying. This will form your flower pattern.

Step 5: Apply glue to center of your flower. Apply button. Allow hair fascinator to dry thoroughly overnight to set glue.
